The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes is a local government area in the South West region of Western Australia, about southeast of Bunbury and about south of the state capital, Perth. The Shire covers an area of, and its seat of government is the town of Bridgetown.HistoryThe Nelson Road Board was gazetted in 1887, while the Greenbushes Road Board was gazetted in 1900. On 1 July 1961, they both became shires following changes to the Local Government Act.
